PMD did not issue windstorm warning


PESHAWAR: One day after heavy storms left at least 14 dead in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of KPK, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) was severely criticized on Thursday not predict severe weather conditions.

Unaware of the rains and severe storms, PMD gives no warning to government and public departments concerned.

Latif-ur-Rahman, a senior official of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) in KPK says PMD issued no warning, adding that his department received alert Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
